Description
Favorgen Protein Gel Fast Stain provides a fast and sensitive method for SDS-PAGE gel stining and without organic solvent distaining. The traditional protein gel staining and distaining method take several hours to finish and leaves easily a deep blue background on the gel which reducing the detection sensitivity. The staining procedure is very straightforward after a short wash or fixation, gels are simply incubated in the stain and washed. The procedure requires 5 minutes for wash and 20 minutes for gel staining. A total of 30 minutes allow visualization of as little as 20ng of protein on a water-clear background.

Procedure
•  Run SDS-PAGE
•  Place the gel in a staining tray containing 50-100ml of the de-ionized water and wash 5 minutes.
•  Discard ddH2O and add stain solution until just cover the gel (for 8x10 use approximately 25ml Stain Solution).
•  Shake the gel gently for 20 minutes at room temperature until protein bands shown, discard the solution.
•  Rinse the gel with tap water. As little as 20ng of protein can be observed at this point against a water-clear background.

Usage Note
•  The signal of protein can be visualized within 5 minutes and achieve to half maximum intensity in 20 minutes
•  The signal on protein gel is table in stain solution in the covered tray for serval weeks at room temperature.
•  Reused stain solution will decrease the sensitivity.
•  Detection Limit: 20-100ng per band.

Storage Condition
•  It can be stored at room temperature or at 4 ℃.
•  Shelf Life: one year at 4 ℃
