Description
FAVORGEN® Protein Markers , low range, resolved to 6 sharp bands when analyzed by SDS-PAGE (Tris-Glycine), are mixture of purified proteins with known amino acid sequences. They are provided in a loading buffer containing SDS, reductant and glycerol for SDS-PAGE. Protein Markers are available for SDS-PAGE, IEF, 2-D, and Western blotting.
Applications
¡¹ Molecular weight estimations
¡¹ Assessing transfer efficiency
¡¹ Monitoring electrophoretic separation
Information
¡¹ Sharpest unstained bands
¡¹ Best for molecular weight estimations
¡¹ Load-and-to format; no dilution
Storage Condition
¡¹ 70mM Tris-HCl/ 5% 2-mercaptoethanol/ 33mM NaCl /40mM dithiothreitol/ 1mM EDTA/ 10% glycerol/ 2% SDS (w/v) pH 6.8 at 25 ¢J
¡¹ Aliquot and prevent freeze and thaw cycles
¡¹ Shelf Life: one year at -20 ¢J

Effective Size Range : 14kDa to 100kDa
Concentration: Approximately 2.6mg/ml

Usage Note
¡¹ Bring desired amount of the Prestained protein marker over to a separate tube. For blotting: use 5 £gl for mini-gels and 10£gl for full length gels. For visualizing during electrophoresis: use 5~10£gl for mini-gels and 10~20£gl for full length gels.
¡¹ Heat the Marker to 37-40¢J for 1 minutes if any solids was precipitated at -20¢J.
¡¹ After a quick microcentrifuge spin, load directly on to a gel.
